Today, we deconstruct these lights that resemble precision instruments—to see how they use minimalist lines to support the skeleton of a room, bringing a sense of "dynamic stillness."  The Inspiration — Geometric Deduction on the Blueprint 📐 The Shape: Compass & Calipers 📏 Drawing compasses and vernier calipers (precision tools) This series is inspired by the precision tools on the designer's desk—architectural compasses and vernier calipers. Rational Beauty: Look at those slender black arms; they possess a completely rational aesthetic. The metal rockers mimic the legs of a compass, capable of swiping across space with accuracy; the connections at the lamp head resemble the joints of a caliper, full of mechanical bite. The Sublimation of Tools: They are an artistic interpretation of "utility." We have transformed what were once cold industrial instruments into elegant light sources for the home, making every adjustment of the light angle feel like a precise measurement.  The Sketches: Logic of the Cantilever ✏️ Every piece of precision work begins with a deduction on a blueprint. When sketching this collection, our biggest challenge was: How do we make cold black steel overcome gravity and express a sense of "weightless suspension"? Mechanical Equilibrium: On paper, we repeatedly calculated the ratio between the extended length of the arm and the counterweight of the shade to find that physical "Sweet Spot." These are not random lines, but rigorous leverage calculations. The sketches aim to prove that a minimalist structure is enough to support a massive span, ensuring that even when extended far out, it remains as steady as a rock.  Precision Nodes: The pen strokes focused heavily on the connection between the black tubing and the brass joints. There is no redundant decoration here, only functional engagement. The linear extension of black and the rotating fulcrum of gold create a strong visual contrast on paper—no superfluous transitions, just pure structure. This is the most fascinating footnote of the Industrial Aesthetic. 3D Modeling: Constructing the Perfect Skeleton 💻  After sketching the outline on paper, we began 3D modeling to design the lamp itself.
