Hey there! So, you just got your hands on the Ibalody Ceiling Fan Light? Awesome choice. We know you’re probably itching to get this gorgeous wood-blade fan up on your ceiling, and we don't blame you.
We designed this fan to bring that perfect mix of clean Scandinavian style and modern, quiet comfort to your space. But before you can kick back and enjoy the breeze, we need to get it installed!
Don't worry if you aren't a master electrician. We’ve put together this quick, step-by-step guide to make the whole process a total breeze.

🛑 First Things First: Safety & Prep
Let's keep things safe. Before you even touch a wire, head over to your breaker box and flip the switch to OFF for the room you'll be working in.
Next, grab your tools. You’ll just need a stepladder, a Phillips-head screwdriver (an electric drill makes it faster, but go easy on the torque!), and maybe some work gloves.
Unbox your fan and lay everything out on a table. Make sure you have all the pieces ready to go:
🛠️ Step-by-Step Installation
Step 1: Prep the Wiring on the Ground
Save your arms from getting tired! Before you climb the ladder, connect the black remote control receiver to the motor while it's still sitting on your table. Just match the wire colors and push the little plastic connectors together until they click.
Step 2: Mount the Bracket
Grab the black metal mounting bracket and screw it securely directly into your ceiling's electrical junction box. Make sure it's nice and tight!
- Step 3: Hang it Up & Connect House Wires
Here's a handy trick: lift the motor assembly up and hook it onto the bracket you just installed. This holds the heavy part for you while you do the wiring!
Now, connect your home’s wires (Live, Neutral, and Ground) to the matching wires on the receiver block. (Good news for our US folks: this fan is perfectly compatible with standard AC 110-120V wiring!)
- Step 4: Hide the Mess
Tuck all those wires neatly up into the bracket. Slide the smooth white motor cover (the canopy) up to the ceiling, twist it into place, and secure it with the screws.
Step 5: Attach the Wood Blades (🚨 READ THIS PART! 🚨)
Now for the star of the show: the solid sycamore wood blades.
SUPER IMPORTANT TIP: When you are screwing the blades onto the motor, you MUST use the little included gaskets/washers. If you forget them, the screws will go in too deep and actually shred the copper wiring inside the motor. (We definitely don't want that!)
- Step 6: Click in the Light Kit
Screw the white light base plate onto the bottom of the motor. Next, grab the LED light board. Snap the wire plugs together, and pop the LED board right onto the base.
(Fun fact: If you ever need to replace the LED board years down the line, it’s literally as easy as unplugging it and popping a new one in—just like changing a lightbulb!)
- Step 7: Twist on the Shade
Last step! Line up the white acrylic lampshade, give it a gentle twist to lock it in, and you are officially done.
