Alabast staat bekend om zijn buitengewone lichtverstrooiingseffecten en wordt al lange tijd gebruikt in plaats van ramen in kerken en andere toepassingen waar een gevoel van ontzag gewenst is. Een prachtige plaat alabast rust op een gegoten messing achterplaat of canopy, vastgehouden door sterke messing in beugels die het stuk accentueren terwijl zij het frame onderbreken. Het resultaat is onmiddellijke dramatiek, zeker om het spel in elke ruimte naar een hoger niveau te tillen.

The unique quality of alabaster is its ability to diffuse light in a soft, warm glow, making it a favorite for creating ambient lighting. It is often found in shades of white, ivory, and cream, though pink, amber, and gray variations also exist — each adding its own warmth to a room’s atmosphere.

I ordered and received a sconce in the brushed brass finish. This will complete our master bath remodel. After much on line searching these sconces are the perfect.
