But not every shell makes the cut. Our artisans hand-select only the shells with the most consistent thickness and clearest color. We look for that specific iridescence—the way the surface reflects a rainbow of colors when caught by the sun.
Phase 2: Refinement (Cleaning & Hand-Cutting)
Raw shells come from the sea covered in salt and sand. The cleaning process is delicate; we use gentle methods to preserve the fragile calcium structure while revealing the brilliance hidden beneath.
