Who is Mooijane and where are you based? +

Mooijane is a Chinese lighting company headquartered in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China — the global centre of lighting manufacturing. We design, manufacture, and ship all products directly from our factory at No. 6, Eighth Road, South West Bank Road, Guzhen, Zhongshan. We serve customers in over 100 countries worldwide, shipping factory-direct with no middlemen.

Is it safe to purchase from Mooijane? +

Yes. Our website uses SSL encryption to protect your personal data. All card payments are processed securely through Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified), and PayPal is also available. We never store your payment card details on our servers. Our store is hosted on Shopify, one of the world's most trusted e-commerce platforms.

Products & Quality
Are light bulbs included with the fixture? +

It depends on the fixture. Fixtures with integrated LED light sources have the light built in. For other fixtures, please check the Specifications section on the product page. If bulbs are not included, the page will list the required bulb type (such as E26, E12, or G9) and the maximum wattage.

Are your fixtures dimmable? +

Many of our fixtures are dimmable. Check the product specifications to confirm. If a fixture is dimmable, you will need a compatible dimmer switch. For fixtures without integrated LEDs, dimmable bulbs are also required. Contact us if you need help identifying the right dimmer for a specific fixture.

What is colour temperature (Kelvin) and which should I choose? +

Colour temperature is measured in Kelvin (K). Lower values (2700–3000K) produce warm, soft amber light — ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas. Higher values (4000–5000K) produce a cooler, crisper white light, better suited for workspaces and kitchens. Most of our fixtures use a warm light around 3000K for a comfortable, inviting atmosphere.

Why does the product colour look slightly different from the photos? +

We photograph our products under controlled lighting conditions, but colours can appear different depending on your monitor's calibration. For products made from natural materials such as wood, marble, alabaster, and travertine, slight variations in grain, veining, and tone are entirely normal and are a characteristic of the natural material — not a defect.

What is your product warranty? +

We offer a 1-year limited warranty on all our light fixtures, covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, including integrated LED components. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, accidents, outdoor exposure in non-rated fixtures, or normal wear and tear. Non-integrated bulbs and third-party installation costs are also excluded.

How do I make a warranty claim? +

Email our support team at support@mooijane.com. Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos or a short video showing the defect. We will review your claim and respond within 1–2 business days.

How do I clean and maintain my light fixture? +

Always disconnect the power before cleaning. For routine maintenance, dust the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. For a deeper clean, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild soap solution and immediately wipe dry. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as they can damage the finish or materials.

Ordering & Payment
What payment methods do you accept? +

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB), PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All card payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store any card details on our systems.

How do I apply a discount code? +

Enter your code in the "Discount Code" field during checkout. The discount will be applied to your order total before payment. Only one discount code can be used per order. For a step-by-step guide, visit our How to Use Discount Codes page.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it? +

You may request a change or cancellation within 3 days of placing your order by contacting us immediately. Once your order has entered the shipping process or left our factory, it cannot be cancelled or modified. If you insist on cancelling an in-transit order, a fee of 30–50% of the order amount may apply to cover processing and shipping costs.

How do I check my order status? +

Use the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email, or visit our Track My Order page and enter your tracking number. You can also log in to your account to view your order history and current status. If you have questions, contact us at support@mooijane.com with your order number.

What happens if an item I ordered is out of stock? +

If an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we will notify you promptly with an estimated production or shipping date. If you prefer not to wait, we will arrange a full refund for that item. In-stock items in the same order will be shipped first at no extra charge.

Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship from and what are the delivery times? +

All orders ship directly from our factory in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China. Standard shipping (free) typically takes 4–6 weeks for most destinations, including the US, Canada, and Europe. Expedited shipping (1–3 weeks) is available at checkout for an additional fee. Exact shipping rates are displayed at checkout based on your order value and destination.

Do you ship internationally? +

Yes, we ship to over 100 countries worldwide via UPS, EMS, FedEx, and DHL. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout. Please note that customers are responsible for any import duties, customs taxes, or fees levied by their country's customs authority. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processing. How can I track my order? +

Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. You can track your package using the link in that email or via our Track My Order page. Please allow 2–4 business days for tracking information to become active after the shipping confirmation is sent.

My tracking number isn't updating. What should I do? +

Tracking delays are normal during international customs processing. If your tracking has not updated for more than 7 business days, please contact us at support@mooijane.com with your order number and we will investigate promptly.

I entered the wrong shipping address. What can I do? +

Contact us immediately. If your order hasn't shipped, we can correct the address at no charge. If the package is already in transit, we may be able to reroute it, but this may incur carrier fees which are the customer's responsibility. We are not liable for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided at the time of purchase.

What if my package is lost in transit? +

If your package has been in transit for more than 90 days without delivery, please contact us. If the carrier confirms the package is lost, we will arrange a replacement or issue a full refund. Please note that any item not delivered within 90 days is automatically eligible for a full refund under our policy.

Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy? +

We accept returns within 30 days of receipt. If you return an item due to a quality defect or transit damage, we cover all return costs and will offer a full refund or replacement. If you return an item for personal reasons (change of mind, wrong size, colour preference), return shipping costs are your responsibility. Items must be unused and returned in their original packaging. Please see our full Refund Policy for details.

My product arrived damaged. What should I do? +

Please photograph both the damaged item and its original packaging immediately upon receipt. Contact us at support@mooijane.com within 7 days with your order number and the photos. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you. Do not discard the original packaging until the issue is resolved.

I received the wrong product. What do I do? +

Contact us immediately with your order number, a description of the item you received, and photos. We will arrange for the correct item to be shipped to you and provide return instructions for the incorrect item. All costs in this situation are covered by us.

How do I start a return? +

Email support@mooijane.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We will provide a return address and shipping instructions. Do not send items back before receiving return authorisation — unauthorised returns cannot be accepted or processed.

When will I receive my refund? +

Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund within 1–3 business days. The refund will be applied to your original payment method. Please allow a further 7–14 business days for the funds to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer's processing times.

Installation & Customisation
Should I hire a professional electrician for installation? +

Yes. For your safety and to protect your warranty, we strongly recommend that all lighting fixtures be installed by a certified professional electrician. Improper installation can void the warranty and may present a safety hazard. Installation instructions are included with every fixture.

Are installation hardware and instructions included? +

Yes. All standard mounting hardware and detailed installation instructions are included with every fixture. If you are missing a part, contact us immediately at support@mooijane.com with your order number and a description of the missing component.

Are pendant lights height-adjustable? +

Most of our pendant lights come with an adjustable cord or chain so you can customise the hanging height. The cord or chain can be shortened during installation. For safety, we recommend this is done by a professional electrician rather than by hand.

Can your products be customised? +

Yes. We offer a full custom lighting service. You can alter sizes, finishes, materials, and designs to create a unique fixture for your space. Our design team will provide free concept drawings within 24 hours of your enquiry. For full details, please visit our Custom Lighting page.

How do I request a quote for a custom order? +

Email support@mooijane.com with your design requirements — preferred size, finish, material, and any reference images you have. Our team will respond within 24 hours with a free design drawing and a no-obligation quote.
