03 · Wood's Nature

Natural grain,
visible character.

Wood brings warmth, softness, and layered depth — quiet detail, never clutter.

Grain variation

Each piece uniquely grained. Small differences speak the material's language — never a defect.

Warm presence

Softens the outline of a fixture — at home in bedrooms, entryways, and quiet corners.

Organic layering

Against white walls, stone, and glass — the natural texture that quiets the room.

04 · Craftsmanship

From raw material to refined light.

Grain, proportion, surface, and joinery are all controlled together — every step shapes the final look, the stability, and the light itself.

Wood and grain selection
Step 01

Wood & Grain Selection

Chosen by tone, grain, and structural fit — each part uses the timber best suited to its shape, size, and role in the fixture.

Precision cutting
Step 02

Precision Cutting

Every piece is cut to spec — clean proportions that stay true across arms, shades, bases, and decorative details.

Shaping wood parts
Step 03

Shaping

Each wood part is shaped to suit its contour — turned, curved, or straight, chosen by the design it becomes.

Sanding and finishing
Step 04

Sanding & Finishing

Multiple passes soften the edges and bring out the natural grain — smooth to the touch, still unmistakably wood.

Assembly of wood parts, hardware and lighting
Step 05

Assembly

Wood parts, hardware, and lighting components are aligned and joined — the result is a stable, balanced whole.

Final inspection of wood fixture
Step 06

Final Inspection

Every piece is checked — surface quality, structural alignment, and real-world light output — before it leaves the workshop.

05 · Material Pairings

Wood, with everything else.

Wood plays well with softer and harder materials alike — building material relationships that feel considered instead of contrasted.

06 · In Situ

Wood, in every room.

Wood lighting eases into the whole home — softening stone in the kitchen, warming stone floors in the entryway, and giving bedrooms and dining rooms a natural anchor overhead.

07 · Natural Character

No two are quite the same.

Wood is a living material. Variation in grain, tone, knot marks, and shading is inherent to the medium — and part of what gives every fixture its own quiet personality.
