Hello, if you need to extend the downrod and electrical cord, please contact us before placing your order. This light is not well-suited for installation on sloped ceilings.

I am wondering if I can get this with a ceiling canopy (in the burnished brass) that goes straight across instead of the two points of contact? Also, I would need 5' long hanging rods because of a taller ceiling height. Can you please let me know the arrival time to 94022 zip code in Los Altos, CA, USA?

Does it cast a downward light? How well does it light a space? Light enough to read?

Hello and thank you for your inquiry. Pendant lights are generally not well suited for use as reading lamps, especially if they are ceiling mounted and do not provide focused illumination.Avena Pendant LightThe light from this lamp is more dispersed and illuminates over a wider area, which may create shadows or not be focused enough to affect reading comfort.Avena Pendant Light is not suitable for use as a reading lamp.

If your goal is to read, reading lamps or desk lamps that allow you to adjust the direction of the light beam are recommended; these lamps provide a more focused source of light that avoids dispersion and reduces eyestrain.

First, can this be hung on an angled ceiling with a 25° slope? Next, can the hanging length extended to approximately 10 feet?
