FAQ

How high should I hang the Tallulah Pendant?
It depends on the spot. Over a dining table, hang the bottom of the shade 30–36″ above the tabletop. Over a kitchen island or counter, aim for 30–34″ above the surface. For a bedside pendant, position the bottom of the shade at roughly shoulder height when seated — typically 48–60″ from the floor. The 59″ cord gives plenty of range to dial in the right drop.
Will the pleating and bead trim look exactly like the photo?
Very close — but the shade is hand-pleated and the bead trim is individually strung, so slight variation in pleat depth, bead spacing, and wavy hem shape is normal and expected. Your Tallulah shares the overall character of the photo but is handcrafted and uniquely its own.
Are bulbs included? What kind should I use?
No bulbs are included. The Tallulah takes 3 × E26 / E27 base bulbs, MAX 40W each. We recommend 2700K warm white LED bulbs — the warm tone works beautifully with the beige fabric shade and walnut frame.
Is this dimmable?
Yes, with the right bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Since the Tallulah is hardwired, pair it with a wall dimmer rated for LED loads and choose a dimmable LED bulb. Check your dimmer's compatibility list for best results.
Which size should I choose?
For most dining tables up to 48″ wide, breakfast nooks, and bedside use, the Standard (∅ 15.7″ / 40 cm) is the right choice. For larger dining tables, kitchen islands over 4 ft, or open living spaces where you want the pendant to be a true focal point, go with the Large (∅ 19.7″ / 50 cm). A rough rule: the fixture diameter (in inches) should be about 1 inch per foot of room width.

Light,softenedby cloth.

Linen, silk, pleats and fringe that turn a bare bulb into a warm, even glow. Real textiles on wood, brass and iron frames.

Why fabric?

Cloth is the oldest way to soften a bare bulb, and still the most beautiful.

A fabric shade does three jobs at once. It spreads harsh light evenly, warms its color toward amber, and adds texture you can see even when the lamp is off. Every piece here pairs a real textile with a frame of wood, brass or iron.

  • Diffused

Even light with no glare or hot spots.

  • Warm

Natural fibers shift the glow toward amber.

  • Tactile

Weave and pleats that read day and night.

Day and night

A fabric light works twice: as texture by day, as glow after dark.

Fabric pendant switched off in a breakfast nook

By day

Switched off, the shade reads as soft sculpture. Pleats, weave and color become part of the decor.

Layer three heights: overhead, floor and table. Fabric keeps all three easy on the eyes.

Questions, answered

Choosing, using and caring for fabric lighting.

What fabrics do you use?

Natural linen, pleated fabric, silk, Tyvek, velvet and woven or patterned textiles. Each product page lists the exact shade material.

Will a fabric shade get hot?

Not with LED bulbs, which run cool. Always stay within the maximum wattage listed on the product page.

Which bulb should I use?

A warm white LED between 2700K and 3000K gives the coziest glow through fabric. Check each product page for the bulb base.

How do I clean a fabric shade?

Switch off and let the bulb cool, then dust with a lint roller, soft brush or a vacuum on low. Blot marks with a damp cloth and mild soap. Never soak a shade.

Will a white shade turn yellow?

Use LED bulbs, dust regularly, and keep the lamp out of strong direct sun and away from the stove.

Can I use fabric lighting in a bathroom or outdoors?

We recommend dry indoor spaces only. Steam and humidity can stain fabric and loosen pleats over time.

I like how it doesn’t overpower the room but still manages to stand out.It works beautifully in bedrooms and cozy corners as well, where it helps create a calm and comfortable environment that feels thoughtfully designed.

E
Elodie

The design has a strong vintage-inspired personality that still feels fresh and modern. It blends easily with different interior styles, from contemporary homes to more rustic or eclectic spaces.

B
Bodhi

The Pendant Light has a strong decorative presence that brings character and charm to a room. However, its vintage-inspired design may not suit more minimalist or ultra-modern interiors, where cleaner and more streamlined styles are preferred.

E
Ember

The Pendant Light brings a beautifully nostalgic charm to the room, instantly adding character and warmth to any space it’s placed in. Its design feels thoughtfully crafted and visually engaging without being overwhelming.

B
Bodhi

I appreciate how it adds softness and elegance to interiors. It helps balance out harder architectural lines and brings a more relaxed, lived-in feeling to the room.

C
Camille

This light works especially well above dining tables and kitchen islands, where it naturally becomes a focal point that draws attention and enhances the overall layout of the space.

C
Callahan

I love how this pendant light creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere in dining and living areas. It makes everyday moments feel more special and turns simple spaces into something more styled and intentional.

A
Archer

One of its strongest qualities is the sense of texture and detail it adds to a room. It makes the space feel more layered and visually interesting without needing additional decoration.

C
Callahan

While it fits nicely in cozy and styled environments, its specific design direction means it may not blend seamlessly with all types of furniture or contemporary design schemes without careful coordination.

R
Remy

The overall design feels both artistic and functional. It serves as a decorative centerpiece while still being practical for everyday use, which makes it highly versatile. The combination of shape and detailing gives it a handcrafted, artisanal feel that adds authenticity and depth to the interior styling.
