About the Material

A natural stone
with ancient origins.

Alabaster is a natural stone known for its smooth texture and translucent appearance. Its origins date back to ancient civilizations where it was used for sculpting and crafting objects of importance. There are two main types — Gypsum and Calcite — with the latter being the preferred choice for lighting fixtures due to its durability and natural veining.

The unique quality of alabaster is its ability to diffuse light in a soft, warm glow, making it a favorite for creating ambient lighting. It is often found in shades of white, ivory, and cream, though pink, amber, and gray variations also exist — each adding its own warmth to a room’s atmosphere.

Craftsmanship

From stone
to light.

The process is a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern precision. Each piece begins as raw stone — and ends as a finished object meant to hold light.

Assembly and Light Test

After final assembly, each lamp is lit — to confirm every detail performs as the design intended.

Alabaster doesn’t reflect light — it holds it. Every lamp becomes a small vessel of warmth, shaped by hand, meant to last generations.

Exactly as described. No color difference at all. The raw edges of the alabaster slabs look incredible in my living room. Each piece is a different shape.

Mounted this at the top of the stairs. It lights up the entire landing with a very soft, even glow.

The texture of the raw stone edges is very tactile. You can see the crystalline structure of the alabaster.

R
Rena

Works great on our vaulted ceiling. The base sits securely and the stone panels hang vertically.

O
Opal

Perfect for my library. The light is diffused enough that there is no glare on my computer screen.

N
Nell

The frosted bottom disc hides the bulbs completely while letting out plenty of functional light.

G
Goldie

Attaching the stone plates was very easy. The pre-drilled holes in the alabaster lined up perfectly.

E
Eunice

The alabaster has a beautiful translucency. Even with the lights off, the stone has a natural luster.

E
Effie

Put this in our wide hallway. It stays close to the ceiling but adds so much texture to the space.

N
Nola

I was worried about the fragile edges, but it was encased in thick foam and arrived without a single chip.

T
Tami

We use this over our side buffet. The light creates beautiful, soft shadows on the ceiling.

Ina

Despite the irregular shapes, the fixture is perfectly balanced. The mounting bracket is very heavy-duty.

P
Patti

Mounted this in the master bedroom. It provides a warm, organic glow that isn't too bright for the eyes.

F
Faye

These stone plates are thick and heavy. You can feel the quality of the solid brass hardware holding them.
