Overview
The Calden Wall Sconce combines a tapered antique brass body with a softly rounded alabaster cup, mounted on a round brass backplate. The torch-inspired silhouette pairs vintage warmth with modern simplicity — light glows softly upward through the natural stone, casting a refined glow onto the wall above.
At 5.7″ wide × 21.7″ tall with a 4.7″ projection from the wall, the slender vertical profile anchors formal dining rooms, libraries, traditional bedrooms, hotel-style corridors, or stairwell flanking. The single G9 socket takes any compatible MAX 5W bulb — pair with warm light LEDs for the most flattering glow.
Regarding the Alabaster: Each Calden cup is hand-cut from natural alabaster — varying in vein pattern, density, and undertone. While the piece you receive will resemble the images in its overall style, every item possesses its own unique character.

Will my alabaster veining match the photo?
Not exactly — and that's the point. Each Calden cup is hand-cut from natural alabaster, so vein pattern, density, and undertone vary between pieces. Your sconce will share the photo's overall character (rounded warm-veined cup atop the tapered brass body) but the pattern is uniquely its own.
Are bulbs included? What kind should I use?
No bulbs included. The Calden takes one G9 base bulb, MAX 5W, seated at the top of the alabaster cup. We recommend a G9 LED bulb in warm light tone — this enhances the antique brass and casts a soft, glare-free uplight through the natural stone.
Is this wall sconce dimmable?
Dimmability comes from the bulb. The fixture works with any compatible G9 bulb up to 5W — pair it with a dimmable G9 LED bulb and a compatible LED dimmer switch for full dimming control.
Can I install Calden in a pair?
Yes — the Calden's tall vertical profile and round backplate make it well-suited to symmetrical pair placement, such as flanking a bedroom mirror, dining room mirror, hallway artwork, or doorway. Each fixture is sold individually, so order two for paired install. Keep the centers 28–36″ apart for a balanced look on most wall widths.
Can I install it myself? Is it OK in bathrooms?
The Calden is hardwired — we recommend a licensed electrician, particularly if your wall box is not already prepared. The fixture is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations only (bedrooms, hallways, libraries, powder rooms). For full bathrooms with showers or tubs, we recommend a damp-rated fixture instead, especially within 3 ft of any direct water source.
