Overview

Vintage Cottage · Pleated Fabric Shade · Wood Bead Trim · Wavy Edge · Hardwired Flush Mount

The Tallulah Flush Mount layers a soft pleated fabric shade with a delicate wavy trim and hand-strung wood bead accents over a metal frame — creating warm, diffused light and quiet, textural detail on your ceiling. Light filters gently through the pleated fabric, casting a cozy, even glow with no harsh glare.

Available in two sizes — ∅ 15.7″ × H 7.9″ and ∅ 19.7″ × H 9.8″ — the Tallulah sits low and graceful against the ceiling, making it a natural fit for bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, entryways, and any relaxed living space that needs warm ambient light with natural, handcrafted texture.

Finish Options Walnut-tone frame · gold detailing · Beige pleated fabric

About the Pleating & Wood Beads: The fabric is hand-pleated and the bead trim is individually strung — slight variation in pleat depth, bead spacing, and wavy hem shape is normal and part of what makes each Tallulah its own.

FAQ

Will the pleating and bead trim look exactly like the photo?
Very close — but the shade is hand-pleated and the bead trim is individually strung, so slight variation in pleat depth, bead spacing, and wavy hem shape is normal and expected. Your Tallulah shares the overall character of the photo but is handcrafted and uniquely its own.
Are bulbs included? What kind should I use?
No bulbs are included. The Tallulah takes 3 × E26 (US) / E27 (international) base bulbs, MAX 40W each. We recommend 2700K warm white LED bulbs (6–8W LED equivalent) — the warm tone works beautifully with the cream fabric shade and walnut frame, giving you the coziest possible glow.
Is this dimmable?
Yes, with the right bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Since the Tallulah is hardwired, pair it with a wall dimmer rated for LED loads and choose a dimmable LED bulb. Check your dimmer's compatibility list for best results.
Do I need an electrician to install it?
Yes — the Tallulah is hardwired directly to your ceiling junction box. We recommend professional installation by a licensed electrician. If you're comfortable with basic wiring and your local code permits homeowner installation, the included instructions walk you through every step.
Which size should I choose?
For most bedrooms, hallways, and entryways, the Standard (∅ 15.7″ / 40 cm) is the right call — it fills the space without overwhelming it. For open dining rooms, larger living spaces, or anywhere you want the lamp to be a true focal point, go with the Large (∅ 19.7″ / 50 cm). A general rule: the fixture diameter (in inches) should be roughly 1 inch per foot of room width.

03 · Wood's Nature

Natural grain,
visible character.

Wood brings warmth, softness, and layered depth — quiet detail, never clutter.

Grain variation

Each piece uniquely grained. Small differences speak the material's language — never a defect.

Warm presence

Softens the outline of a fixture — at home in bedrooms, entryways, and quiet corners.

Organic layering

Against white walls, stone, and glass — the natural texture that quiets the room.

04 · Craftsmanship

From raw material to refined light.

Grain, proportion, surface, and joinery are all controlled together — every step shapes the final look, the stability, and the light itself.

Wood and grain selection
Step 01

Wood & Grain Selection

Chosen by tone, grain, and structural fit — each part uses the timber best suited to its shape, size, and role in the fixture.

Precision cutting
Step 02

Precision Cutting

Every piece is cut to spec — clean proportions that stay true across arms, shades, bases, and decorative details.

Shaping wood parts
Step 03

Shaping

Each wood part is shaped to suit its contour — turned, curved, or straight, chosen by the design it becomes.

Sanding and finishing
Step 04

Sanding & Finishing

Multiple passes soften the edges and bring out the natural grain — smooth to the touch, still unmistakably wood.

Assembly of wood parts, hardware and lighting
Step 05

Assembly

Wood parts, hardware, and lighting components are aligned and joined — the result is a stable, balanced whole.

Final inspection of wood fixture
Step 06

Final Inspection

Every piece is checked — surface quality, structural alignment, and real-world light output — before it leaves the workshop.

05 · Material Pairings

Wood, with everything else.

Wood plays well with softer and harder materials alike — building material relationships that feel considered instead of contrasted.

06 · In Situ

Wood, in every room.

Wood lighting eases into the whole home — softening stone in the kitchen, warming stone floors in the entryway, and giving bedrooms and dining rooms a natural anchor overhead.

07 · Natural Character

No two are quite the same.

Wood is a living material. Variation in grain, tone, knot marks, and shading is inherent to the medium — and part of what gives every fixture its own quiet personality.
