Mouille entwarf seine kantigen, insektenähnlichen Leuchten als „Reaktion auf die italienischen Modelle, die 1950 den Markt zu überfluten begannen“, die er für „zu kompliziert“ kritisierte.
Die dreiarmige Deckenleuchte (1958) ist eine hängende Interpretation seiner ursprünglichen dreiarmigen Deckenleuchte und bewahrt die kinetische, skulpturale Ästhetik des Originals. Alle seine Beleuchtungslösungen tragen Mouilles charakteristische Designsignaturen: die Art, wie die Arme mit den Diffusoren verbunden sind, die Unterlegscheiben und die sechskantigen Schrauben, die Form der Reflektoren und die raffinierten Linien der Stahlrohre.
