Mouille a conçu ses luminaires anguleux en forme d'insectes comme "une réaction aux modèles italiens qui commençaient à envahir le marché en 1950", qu'il critiquait comme étant "trop compliqués". Son lampadaire à trois bras à grande échelle (1952) a une esthétique cinétique et sculpturale qui évoque une sensation de mouvement dans l'espace. Tous les bras peuvent être tournés dans différentes directions, permettant un éclairage ample et bien dirigé pour n'importe quelle tâche.
Mouille a conçu la lampe à trois bras pour un client dont les instructions étaient simplement : "Je veux une grande lumière parce que j'ai des clients en Amérique du Sud qui ont d'immenses pièces." Toutes ses solutions d'éclairage présentent les signatures caractéristiques de Mouille en tant que designer : la manière dont les bras sont reliés aux diffuseurs, la rondelle et la visserie à six pans, la forme des réflecteurs et les lignes raffinées du tube en acier.
