Kitchen Island Lighting
Island lighting is the one fixture in a kitchen everyone stands under. Our range covers linear pendants, clusters and three-light runs in glass, alabaster, brass and travertine — around 450 pieces sized for a counter rather than a table.
The rule of thumb: hang the bottom of the shade 30 to 36 inches above the counter, and leave at least 6 inches between the outer pendant and the end of the island. For a 6-foot island, three pendants at 24-inch spacing or one linear fixture at roughly 36 inches works; for 8 feet and up, go to a linear pendant or four drops.
Tell us the island length and ceiling height — we space the drops and cut the cords to your measurement before it ships.
