Mouille projetou suas luzes angulosas, semelhantes a insetos, como "uma reação aos modelos italianos que começavam a invadir o mercado em 1950", que ele criticou por serem "muito complicados". Sua luminária de chão de três braços em grande escala (1952) tem uma estética cinética e escultural que evoca uma sensação de movimento no espaço. Todos os braços podem ser girados em várias direções, permitindo iluminação ampla e bem direcionada para qualquer tarefa.
Mouille projetou a Lâmpada de Três Braços para um cliente cujas instruções foram simplesmente: "Quero uma luz grande porque tenho clientes na América do Sul que têm quartos enormes."
